Cautions for Installations

Installation Environment

  • ONLY for Indoor Usage.
  • Temperature: Maintain room temperature at 15-25 degrees

You can use the air conditioner to meet this temperature.

  • Humidity/Moisture: Avoid installing the product when the substrate has moisture, make sure that the substrate is completely dry.
  • Lighting: Make sure to install the products under appropriate lighting.

Dark environment makes detection of the substrate imperfection, foreign materials on the substrate, and the formation of bubbles difficult.

  • Dust: eliminate dust in the installation environment as much as possible.
  • Static Electricity: Spray water mist on the floor if installation takes place where static electricity is likely to build up

Preparation for Installation

  • Tools: Gypsum putty, putty knife, sandpaper/sander, brush, tape measure, cutting board, rolling cutter, metal ruler, primer, squeegee, cutter, dryer.
  • Check in and take measurements: Measure numerous surfaces even if they are similar in shape
  • Putty: check and fill uneven areas, and sand narrow sections (bend and groove) completely. Usually, we should putty and sand the substrate at least 2 time
  • Primer: Apply concentrate to bent and sectional areas. Primer: Water 1:1

it is helpful to apply the primer in the direction of the film grain.

Attention: Cross sections of wood [MDF PB, etc] have a higher rate of absorption, so 2-3 coats of primer are necessary.

Wait until the primer is completely dry before applying 2 or 3 more coats.

  • Cutting the film: Cutting the film at least 5cm longer than the application area on each side. On release paper, large marking is 10 cm, small marking is 1cm.

Attaching the film

  • Tear off the release paper in 10 cm and fold it, place the film where you want to stick it, and press it with your fingers vertically and horizontally for the position.
  • Use the squeegee at a 45-degree angle remove air bubbles and help with adhesion.

From middle to each side, from top to bottom.

  • 45-degree cut on the side and edge place.

Using a squeegee for angles, grooves, and surfaces and using felt for larger surfaces will help the film stick to the surface effectively.

Use the dryer to wrap the film in the special shapes.

  • Cut the extra part with the cutter.
  • Heat the edges with dryer.
  • After attaching, use a squeegee to remove the air bubble again from the middle to both two sides.
  • Keep the environment temperature at 15-25 degrees for 24H-48H for better adhesive.

Cautions after Installation

  • Pressure-sensitive adhesive is designed in a way that adhesive strength as time passes after installation, please note some types of the substrate may be damaged when removing the products for changing
  • Use commercially available neutral detergent to clean the surface of the product.
  • Attention: If the self-adhesive film was used on acrylic materials, there might come into being bubbles between the under film and the material surface, Please contact the supplier or local franchise to avoid the situation would happen which you are worried about.
